While shopping for flowers for my wife for Valentine’s Day, I decided to do something different this year. Instead of buying a dozen roses like I do every year, I bought some flowers in a pot. Call me unromantic, but I simply don’t like spending money on dead flowers (although I certainly will from time to time because . . . I love my wife!).
Sure, a dozen cut roses look great when you first buy them and bring them home. But their beauty doesn’t last long. A week or so later and the roses look just terrible.
